Dear Passengers,
With reference to the Departure Levy Order 2019, all air travellers leaving Malaysia will be required to pay a departure levy for ticket purchased on/after 1 September 2019, following the directive from the Malaysian Government.
Flights from Malaysia to ASEAN destinations*, a departure levy of RM8 will be charged on Economy Class (Super Saver, Economy Value and Flexi) passengers and RM50 on Business Class (Promo and Flexi) passengers.
Flights from Malaysia to other international destinations outside of ASEAN, a departure levy of RM20 will be charged on Economy Class (Super Saver, Economy Value and Flexi) passengers and RM150 on Business Class (Promo and Flexi) passengers.
The following passengers who are exempted from the Departure Levy are:
1. International transit passengers arriving and leaving Malaysia within 12 hours
2. Airline crew on duty
3. Infants under 2 years old with and without a seat
4. Passengers who purchased tickets before 1 September 2019 before the levy is enforced
