Do not discard your boarding passes indiscriminately. Passengers are able to use the QR code to tap into your flight history and personal data.

  • WEB CHECK-IN

    You can do an early web check-in to save time on a computer or mobile device from 48 hours to 4 hours prior to flight departure time. Boarding passes can either be printed or downloaded to mobile devices for added convenience*.
    * Mobile Boarding Pass is applicable for KLIA departures only. Passengers can now use this mobile boarding pass at KLIA on their mobile phones without printing the physical boarding pass.

    At the airport, you may proceed directly to security check if you do not have any bags to check-in. However, if you have any checked baggage, you may proceed to our bag drop counter dedicated for web check-in passengers.

    There are several conditions for a PNR to be ready for check-in via web:

    • No changes in itinerary is allowed after web check-in.
    • Passengers traveling with an INFANT or with a WHEELCHAIR remarks reflected in your booking will NOT be able to perform a Web check-In due to seating and security restrictions.
    • Please be advised that check-ins are according to air segments and can only be done in the correct sequence; ie. First air segment, followed by (if any) second segment. Web check-in window of 48 hours to 4 hours prior to departure time condition still applies.
    • Some nationalities travelling to Australia, Bangkok (DMK) Myanmar (RGN) and Taipei (TPE) are subject to VISA requirements. If you are experiencing a web check-in issue, kindly check if your reservation has your passport details.
    • Passengers travelling to and from Australia has to proceed to our dedicated counter to verify their passport and visa details after performing a web check in. This is compulsory. (Reference for visa advisory - http://www.iatatravelcentre.com/)
    • Web check-in is NOT available for the following sectors; departures from Taipei (TPE), Sanya (SYX), Wuhan (WUH), Singapore (SIN) and all sectors in India. Kindly proceed to the our counter for passport verification.
    • Please note that codeshare flights starting with flight number OD9xxx are not allowed to perform Web Check-in.

  • COUNTER CHECK-IN

    Please present your travel documents at the Malindo Air check-in counter to check-in for your flight and obtain your boarding pass.

    Kuala Lumpur International Airport  
    • Counter will be closed 1 hour (60 minutes) before standard time of departure (STD).
    • Boarding gate will be closed 15 minutes before standard time of departure (STD).
    • Boarding gate will be closed 20 minutes before standard time of departure (STD) for Turkish Airlines operated flights.

    Subang Skypark Airport
    • Check-in will commence 3 hours before departure and will be closed 30 minutes before standard time of departure (STD).
    • Boarding gate will be closed 10 minutes before standard time of departure (STD).

    KL Sentral Check-in (KLIA Express Train)
    • If you're using the KLIA Ekspress train service, you can check in at Malindo Air check-in counter located inside the KL Sentral station. You may also check in your bags.
    • Availability: Minimum 2 hours before departure for international flights, 1.5 hours for domestic flights without checked baggage.

  • KIOSK CHECK-IN

    Last minute check-in? Long queue at the counter? Not to worry as you can check-in at the Self Check-in Kiosk at KLIA!

    The Common kiosk check-in is readily available at KL International Airport (KLIA) which now allows Malindo Air passengers to do self check-in from 24 hours before your flight’s standard departure time up to 75mins.

    What time can I check in at the kiosk ?

    Answer :
    The kiosk opens 24 hours before your flight's standard departure time and closes 75 minutes before your flight's standard departure time.

    2) Question :
    Can I print baggage tags at the kiosk ?

    Answer :
    No, for baggage drop, please proceed to our baggage drop counters after you have checked in.

    3) Question :
    I have baggage to check in, can I still check in using the check in kiosk ?

    Answer :
    Yes, for baggage drop, please proceed to our baggage drop counters after you have checked in.

    4) Question :
    I have lost my boarding pass, where can I reprint it ?

    Answer :
    Both web check in and kiosk check in allows you to reprint your boarding pass.

    5) Question :
    Can I change my seat after I have checked in ?

    Answer :
    Yes, both web check in and kiosk check in allows you to reprint your boarding pass.

    6) Question :
    Can I select my seat during check in using the check in kiosk ?

    Answer :
    Yes, you can select your seat when checking in via the kiosk.

    7) Question :
    I have special needs assistance (SSR), can I still check in via the kiosk ?

    Answer :
    No, you will need to check in at the counter.

    8) Question :
    I am flying multiple segments, can I check in for all my flights ?

    Answer :
    Once first air segment is completed, then you may be able to do kiosk-check-in for the next segment however please note that web check-in window of 24 hours to 75 min prior to departure condition still applied.
