KUALA LUMPUR, 22 SEP 2015 – Malindo Air, Malaysia’s first hybrid airline officially announces a new connection between Penang and Singapore via daily flights which will commence from 25 October 2015 onwards.
Promotional fares for Business Class start from RM269 one-way while Economy Class fares start from RM129 one-way all inclusive of light refreshments or a meal, in-flight entertainment and free baggage allowance. Malindo Air’s entry will add an additional 2,268 seat capacity to the popular sector served by only budget airlines previously, with the carrier being the only non-budget carrier on the sector. The 1-hour 20-minute flight will take off daily from Penang International Airport at 11:10am and touch down in Changi Airport at 12:30pm. The return flight will depart from Singapore at 1:35pm and arrive in Penang at 2:55pm.
This new route comes after recent announcement of another international flight by the carrier from Penang, to Trichy, India which will commence this week from 26 September 2015 onwards.

This new route will provide more connectivity choices for our passengers in Penang and Singapore.”
“More recently, we have also announced the start of twice weekly direct Penang-Trichy-Penang flights which will complement our existing direct flight to Trichy from KLIA2. All these are part of our network diversification on top of new international route developments in the pipeline, which we will announce in due time,” added Chandran.
