A: Government of India has issued the following travel restrictions on 11 March 2020.
1. Existing visas for foreigners entering India between 1200 GMT (8 PM Malaysia) 13 March 2020 and 15 April 2020 is no longer valid
2. Passengers MUST apply for a fresh visa to enter India between 13 March 2020 and 15 April 2020.
3. Exception is granted to passengers who are holding Diplomats, Officials, UN/International Organisations, Employment and Project visas
4. Visas for all foreigners in India remain valid
5. Visa free travel for OCI is suspended from 1200 GMT 13 March 2020 up to 15 April 2020.
6. Incoming travellers into India including Indian Nationals arriving from any destination and having visited China, Italy, Iran, Republic of Korea, France, Spain and Germany on or after 15 Feb 2020 shall be quaratined for a minimum period of 14 days. This will come into effect from 1200 GMT 13 March 2020.
7. EXISTING VISAS ARE VALID FOR TRAVEL AFTER 16 APRIL 2020
B: Travel rebookings and refunds by Malindo Air
Passengers holding Malindo Air bookings for flights to India with departures between 1200 GMT (8PM Malaysia) 13 March 2020 and 15 April 2020 will be permitted the following:
1. Permitted to change departure date to a new date for travel before 31 October 2020
2. Change Fee is waived and Fare Difference applies
3. Refunds will only be permitted in Vouchers to be utilised by 31 October 2020
4. Applicable for tickets issued on and before 11 March 2020
C: Health Screening:
Malindo Air will continue to conduct pre-departure screening at the airports and any passengers showing symptoms of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) - shortness of breath accompanied with either cough or fever will be referred to the medical authorities for clearance. In the interest of safety of all our passengers and crew onboard the flights, Malindo Air will offload such passenger(s).
Malindo Air will continue to maintain the highest priority for the wellbeing and safety of its passengers and act in compliance with the directives and notifications issued by the global and local Health authorities.
