A: Government of Nepal has issued the following travel restrictions on 20 March 2020 up to 12 April2020
1. Visa on Arrival has been suspended for all foreigners for this period.
2. All foreigners with a prior valid visa will have to submit a swab test PCR health certificate issued maximum 7 days before their arrival date to Nepal and must be submitted to the Immigration at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) upon arrival.
3. All foreigners including NRN’s intending to visit Nepal for compelling reasons will have to contact the Nepali missions abroad. A recent swab test PCR health certificate issued maximum 7 days before their arrival date to Nepal is mandatory along with the visa application and must be submitted to the Immigration at TIA at upon arrival.
4. On-arrival-visa is granted gratis to Non-Resident Nepalese cardholders is also suspended at the Immigration office at TIA.
5. All foreign Nationals entering Nepal since 14 th March2020 are subjected to stay in self quarantine and Nepali nationals are including NRN’s are subjected to stay in Home Quarantine for 14 days from the date of arrival.
6. Foreigners with diplomatic and official visa entering Nepal for the first time or travelling back to Nepal are subjected to stay in Stay Quarantine for 14 days.
7. Foreigners with Business, study and working visa travelling back to Nepal are subjected to stay in self quarantine for 14 days.
8. All the permits for mountaineering expeditions issued and to be issued for spring 2020 session are suspended.
9. These provisions come into effect from twelve midnight Nepal Standard Time on 20 March 2020 up to 12 April 2020.

B: Travel rebookings and refunds by Malindo Air
Passengers holding Malindo Air bookings for flights to Nepal with arrivals from Midnight on 14 March 2020 and 30 April 2020 will be permitted the following:
1. Permitted to change departure date to a new date for travel before 31 October 2020
2. Change Fee is waived and Fare Difference applies
3. Refunds will only be permitted in Vouchers to be utilised by 31 October 2020
4. Applicable for tickets issued on and before 13 March 2020
C: Health Screening:
Malindo Air will continue to conduct pre-departure screening at the airports and any passengers showing symptoms of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) - shortness of breath accompanied with either cough or fever will be referred to the medical authorities for clearance. In the interest of safety of all our passengers and crew onboard the flights, Malindo Air will offload such passenger(s).
Malindo Air will continue to maintain the highest priority for the wellbeing and safety of its passengers and act in compliance with the directives and notifications issued by the global and local Health authorities.
