Subsidy assistance initiative for the purchase of flight tickets for public university students on domestic routes between Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.

Terms & Conditions
- Batik Air terms & conditions apply.

- Batik Air voucher can only be utilized for either a one-way or round-trip journey between the student's permanent residence (Semenanjung Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak) and their respective university or vice versa.
- Batik Air reserves to right to void students voucher if the student is found to abuse the voucher in any manner without liability and gives any reason (e.g. Acquiring destinations other than those specified in the eligibility criteria, etc).
- The RM300 Subsidies voucher can only be used for students who are eligible for the subsidy. It is non-transferable and purchase of tickets for other individuals.
- Voucher redemption starts from 15 August to 31 December 2023.
- Travel period starts from 15 August until 31 December 2024. Travel valid within one year of the date of booking.
- All participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and shall be deemed to have given their consent for the collection of personal information and the use of such personal information shall be in accordance with the privacy policy of the airline with no mopnetary payment.
- Batik Air retains the authority, solely at our discretion, to modify, remove, or vary any of the Terms and Conditions presented here, without prior notification to students.
- Kindly ensure that the arrival & departure destinations are destinations offered by Batik Air during registration, as Batik Air will not be liable for any wrong selection after student have made choice of airline.
- Important: The RM 300 voucher provided by the Malaysian Minister of Transportation, is contingent upon terms & conditions stated, and is valid for use on domestic routes offered by Batik Air only.
- Ministry of Transport's terms & conditions apply. Terms & conditions for the flight ticket subsidy assistance are as follows:

- (a) Students who are eligible to receive this subsidy are all Malaysian students who are currently employed at a public university in 2023 in the following categories:

- Originate from Sabah, Sarawak or the Federal Territory of Labuan (based on permanent address) who are staying in Peninsular Malaysia;
- Originate from Peninsular Malaysia (based on permanent address) who is currently staying in Sabah, Sarawak or the Federal Territory of Labuan;
- Originate from Sabah (based on permanent address) who is currently staying in Sarawak or the Federal Territory of Labuan;
- Originate from Sarawak (based on permanent address) who is currently staying in Sabah or the Federal Territory of Labuan;
- Originate from the Federal Territory of Labuan (based on permanent address) who is currently staying in Sabah or Sarawak;
- (b) Only valid for the purchase of one-way or two-way flight tickets for economy class flight routes between the place of origin (Peninsular Malaysia/ Sabah/ Sarawak/ Labuan) and where the student is currently staying (Peninsular Malaysia/ Sabah/ Sarawak/ Labuan);
- (c) Can only be used to purchase flight ticket from participating airlines
- (d) The voucher redemption deadline for flight ticket purchases is on 31 December 2023. However, the purchase of flight tickets for travel after the voucher redemption deadline is allowed.
Application Steps

- In order to apply for a subsidy for the purchase of train tickets, public university students need to take the following steps:

- Check eligibility through the Ministry of Transport website (https://subsidiudara.mot.gov.my/). If the student is found to be ineligible, the student can review and appeal to the Ministry of Higher Education through their respective universities;
- Make an application for subsidy assistance in the purchase of flight tickets on the website of the airline company chosen by the student;
- After receiving the application, the airline will issue a digital voucher worth RM300 to the student as a credit shell to purchase flights.
If the price of the purchased ticket is less than rm300, the balance of the digital voucher will remain in the credit shell to be used for the next ticket purchase (refer to table 1 below for an example); - Vouchers are only allowed to be used to purchase flight ticket on approved routes.
