BATIK AIR SETS ITS SIGHTS ON ENHANCING DOMESTIC CONNECTIVITY FROM KLIA
Kuala Lumpur, 22 December 2023 – Batik Air is excited to announce the expansion of its domestic flight network, with the introduction of three routes. Starting from February 8, 2024 travellers can enjoy flights from KLIA Terminal 1 to Tawau in Sabah, Sibu in Sarawak, and Kota Bharu in Kelantan.
A daily service will be operated to Tawau (TWU), departing KLIA at 8:30 am and departing TWU at 11:50 am
This strategic move caters for the increasing travel needs for business and leisure travellers between Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak, and facilitating effortless connections for passengers connecting to Batik Air’s domestic routes as well as to 56 international destinations in 22 countries. Apart from that, it enhances connectivity to the extensive network of routes offered by our partner airlines. Both routes to TWU and SBW will be operated by Batik Air's Boeing 737-800 aircraft, featuring 12 Business Class and 150 Economy Class seats.
Additionally, KLIA will offer double daily services to Kota Bharu (KBR), with departures scheduled at 8:30 am and 6:00 pm and returning from KBR at 9:25 am and 7:55 pm. Passengers originating via Kota Bharu intending to perform their Umrah can would now be able to connect to the Jeddah flights via the KLIA hub.
